Block of the Month
Melissa was the winner of the Flower block of the month. Congratulations Melissa!
Cindy and Hollie suggested that we do a block exchange. They showed a few quilts that they thought might good for this. The guild members chose the Road to Oklahoma quilt. Cindy will make up instructions to give out next month and they will plan on it lasting for three months.

For our program Carolyn gave a demo on how to make these Twice as Nice-Trip around the world baby quilts. If you didn't get a pattern let us know at quilt guild and we will get you one. If anyone is interested we will have a day in the summer where we get together to make these.
Thank you Carolyn for teaching us this technique! I've been wanting to make a quilt that you make small Trip Around the World blocks and set them together. After your demo I was so excited to try it out and have made several blocks now. I love using this method, it is so fun and I'm thrilled that you don't unpick. The other way I was going to make the blocks you had to unpick. I will have to bring the blocks next month to show 'n' tell.
ReplyDeleteHollie, I am glad that you tried the method and that it worked! I can't wait to see your blocks!
