August Idea Share

The idea share for August is... What is an easy gift that you can sew. Tell us about something that you have made or a link to something you saw on line. Post a picture or bring the item to show at the next quilt guild meeting if you can.
Remember Christmas is just around the corner...

**Just a reminder about the idea share. Leave a comment or publish a post that goes along with this months Idea Share topic. Everyone who participates will be entered to win a prize at quilt guild next month.

  1. http://www.craftbits.com/project/double-sided-headbands This link shows how to make a very easy double sided headband. Looked easy for the kids to help make for gifts too!

  2. So nice to meet you! Love the test - I think the critical one is have they been fed as I know I have a hard time when I am busy even though I love to cook. I don't know exactly how the quilt guild works, but I posted a couple of easy sewing projects that make great gifts, a ruffled skirt, a ruffled bag and satin roses.

  3. I like to make posy pincushions. They sew up fast and everybody loves them. I don't have a picture to post here, but I will bring one to next quilt guild meeting.

  4. I like to make bags. I just finished 3 that are gifts. The only problem is that I have made so many that everybody already has one, so I am looking for new ideas. I have a few in mind, but I am still trying to decide. What about a gift for a friend who doesn't like to sew? Do I still give them something for sewing? I just don't know! Hopefully I can get some inspiration at quilt guild!

  5. I always make my friends a pincushion at Christmas. They are probably sick of them, but I love pincushions so I project my desire to acquire them onto everybody else. Plus, there's just something great about a project you can start and finish in an hour or less!
